Under the hood
ranki is a simple interface on top of a powerful ranking engine. You vote in quick A vs B votes, and behind the scenes Elo and reputation keep the global leaderboard fair and fun.
We show you two items from a list. You pick the one you think is better. Each choice is a tiny match with a winner and a loser.
Items start at 1500 Elo. After each vote, both items' scores move up or down depending on who won and how strong they were expected to be.
Share lists with others to earn reputation. When people vote via your referral links, you gain reputation that increases your voting influence.
Elo is a rating system originally designed for chess. ranki adapts it to everyday things: movies, games, foods, apps—anything that can be compared head‑to‑head. Instead of 5‑star reviews or upvotes, we use direct wins and losses between items.

Your reputation determines how much influence your votes have on rankings. Build reputation by sharing lists and inviting others to vote.
