Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Ranki ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, then you may not access the Service.

Description of Service

Ranki is a platform that allows users to create lists, add items, and vote on rankings. Users can compare items and see how they rank based on community voting using an ELO rating system.

User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. When you register, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security of your password and identification
• Accept all responsibility for activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

User Content

Content You Submit

You retain ownership of any content you submit, post, or display on or through the Service ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and distribute such content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service.

Content Standards

You agree not to post, upload, or transmit any User Content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or discriminatory
• Infringes on any intellectual property rights or privacy rights of others
• Contains spam, malware, or malicious code
• Is false, misleading, or defamatory
• Violates any applicable laws or regulations
• Contains personal information of others without their consent

Content Moderation

We reserve the right to remove, edit, or refuse to post any User Content that violates these Terms or that we determine is otherwise objectionable. We are not obligated to monitor User Content but may do so at our discretion.

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service:

• In any way that violates any applicable law or regulation
• To engage in any fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• To attempt to manipulate rankings or voting systems
• To interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• To collect or harvest information about other users
• To impersonate any person or entity
• To use automated systems (bots, scripts) to access the Service without permission

Intellectual Property Rights

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Ranki and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without our prior written consent.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion features provided in the Service.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ranki shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Ranki and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Ranki operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use the Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Ranki regarding the Service.
